| G'day.
Great to catch up with
everyone.
I had to force myself to move
from turn 4 to try and get some other angles knowing that all
the action was still happening there. I reckon there was only
one quick line through there but you needed to be proficient in
the art of the Scandinavian flick. If I had known sooner I could
have had some videos of Ari Varetenan and Hannu Mickola on hand.
Now I know a lot of you have
more than enough photos of your cars, but I would be very
surprised if you have many if any shots like those through turn
4. Almost all cars were leaping about lifting wheels, followed
by arms full of opposite lock. Most were lucky not to spin,
others found the limits plus a bit and ended up in the weeds.
Thus making for some very interesting photos.
I have to apologies to a couple
of drivers, car 144 Lloyd Robertson and car 176 Warren
Gersekowski, I cant seem to find any shots of your cars going in
a straight line, in almost all the shots the cars seem to be
going sideways as much as forwards.
For the second successive event
I have a photo of a car chasing a Magpie. The first was a ute in
the "Tour De Course" at Lakeside, this weekend it was Paul
McMullin scaring the wits out of out of a Maggie in turn one.
If you are looking for a bit of
entertainment check out all the galleries. Look for the XY GT
with a wheel in the air through the chicane and the
................ I have lost count of wild action
shots............Oh dont forget the Signature galleries, there
are a couple of never seen before shots of Dick Johnson.
I may have to enter next years
event. Can someone please tell me what you did to get your tyres
up to temp............... Oh ...... ok perhaps I could dig out
an old set of rally tyres
Cheers
Wayne
Please note the
galleries contain only a small sample of the the total number of Photos. There
are around 15-20 shots of most cars. Some hoons have a lot more :-)
